WORKING ON THE BACKSIDE...

I am one wheel away from a rolling chassis, but i have some hours
to go. Someone had the bright idea to use acorn nuts to hold the
chain sprocket to the brake drum, that is really not a good idea!!
So i had to install new rivets all the way around.

As usually a lot of small bits and pieces
were missing from the star hub.

I needed a break from the wheel, so made a new bracket
for the headlight and mounted the new brass ring.

To lace a wheel either takes me an hour or many many hours.
The front one took me an hour so you can guess this one did not.

The only thing left is to try and straighten out the anchor
brake plate which is warped, and put on the last tire.

  1. Very helpful post, I am also looking for the best quality motorcycle tires like Pirelli tires for riding safe and which given the bike excellent traction on dirt. Thanks
