COMING UP........1969ish SPORTSTER PROJECT

A few months ago i landed a dream build,
a client walked into my shop with only some
1969 Sportster papers and asked me to build a bike
using a 'Zero' style foundation. And now the frame
which was custom built for me by Fenland
Choppers in England will be arriving soon.
I will also be using a 1988 Evo Sportster engine
and some stock springer forks with parkerised bits.
That is as far as i have got so far.........

LINKERT ATTACKS..........THE FINAL

Usually the Sunday of a show can be a bit
of a downer, but in this case we still had three
days of travel ahead of us. We set off north
choosing a different route than the way we came.

We are making a final stop with only 100 km
to go until we are home in Copenhagen.
You have to really stop yourself form thinking
how lucky we were traveling 1800km without
any major breakdowns.......

And then it happens, Jakobs primary chain snaps
80 km from home, but luckily he is carrying a spare.

My God what a trip!!!
If you are planning a trip summer 2014
I advise you to head to LINKERT ATTACKS!!

LINKERT ATTACKS Pt 4

I left the ride-out towards the end to get some lunch
in a beautiful restaurant high on a hill in the city,
which over looked a large valley full of vineyards.
After returning to the event we were greeted by the
all bikes organized into each engine style....

Flatheads

Panheads

knuckleheads

and Indians

LINKERT ATTACKS Pt 3

We finally arrived late afternoon after having
a little scare when my front brake locked
in the 30 degree heat and smoke came bellowing out.
The event was held in a beautiful small french town
named Jars and thats exactly what i was in the mood for
as we rolled through the gate, we were straight to the bar!!

Our neighbors were the Sinners.

The next day we took part in the ride-out, which took
place at 11am. We rode along the country lanes between
vineyards and chateaux's which was breath taking.

A little stop half way through the ride.

LINKERT ATTACKS Pt 2

We awoke to clear blue skies and a temperature perfect
for riding motorcycles, i was surrounded by a beautiful
array of vintage iron - knuckles, flatties, pans, chiefs & scouts.
What happen the rest of the day was the greatest experience
i have ever had on a motorcycle. Riding into Switzerland along
twisting mountain roads, riding through tunnels, over bridges,
along lakes and rivers. Passing forests, woods and beautiful
valleys, through picturesque villages, towns and hamlets,
Castles, monasteries and chateaux's. Every time i started my
bike i thought how could this get better but it did......

Sadly i have few photos to show the exprience.

Stopping for lunch somewhere in CH

Another long day of riding, and another
day of perfect running with the full-dresser.

Another break down, another beautiful town,
Anders snapped his clutch rod.

In the scorching heat i needed to swim.

IM BACK!!........FROM LINKERT ATTACKS Pt 1

I finished the bike 15 hrs before we were to leave for
our 1800 km trip to Linkert. on a short test drive the
oil lamp started to flick off and on and then went out,
i am thinking its only the switch. 7am we set sail, four blocks
later the oil light comes on and stays on, pulled into the
gas station and the oil is not returning!!

In my head i thinking we have left now i am going to
fix it road side. After taking off the oil pump cover
fiddle with the gears, cleaned it and sanded some
nicks then put it back together. Oil ligth off, oil returning!!
lets get the fuck out of Dodge.

We reach Hamburg without another hitch, plain sailing.

Great name for a dealer!!

You can't beat Greek food in Hamburg....

Germany = Beer

The bikes are loaded and ready for our trip across Germany
and will drop us off at the foot hills of the Alpes.......
