1943 WLC FLATHEAD NEARING COMPLETION

My friends thought me crazy to take this job on!
The first time i saw the bike i thought to
myself what have i got myself into?
But God now it feels good to save another HD.

I hope to finish the bike next week, and post a video
of the engine firing up for the first time in 48 years.
Just think TV was still black & white back,
Alcatraz was still a prison and the Beatles had just
released they first album.

FIVE VINTAGE HARLEY UPGRADES

People will ask me 'how can i make my bike more reliable??'
simple! get rid of all the old shit and put in these,
NO QUESTIONS ASKED!!

First. save yours hours of oiling and adjusting, belt drive baby!!

6 Volt is for suckers. Cycle Electric 12v Generator is a must.
(i still have 6v on the 'U')

Sorry to all you Linkert fans but forget it!!
Make sure whatever carb you buy, it is built for your EXACT model.
For 45's its the Mikuni 34.

Third. Never have to to adjust points again in your LIFE,
Electronic ING. Its very important you have the right
coil, or you are throwing $100 down the drain.

Finally to complete your bullet proof electrical system,
get the electronic 12v regulator which is made
to fit under the original cover.

All these items blend into your bike, three of them
you will never even see. There are two reasons
for a bike not running 94% of the time.
CARBURATOR & ELECTRICS.

DAILY WLC PICS

FRANKS' FIRE

If you live in Copenhagen and you need a HD part then you
go to Franks'. Sadly he had a large fire, which destroyed a lot
of bikes including this 1200 Flathead that i was about
to start building for him.
